My First Garden

Well, I did it (with a ton of help from Alex). I planted our first ever vegetable garden. Alex built me a wonderful garden box and filled it with good soil. We then hit Lowes to purchase plants. Alex and I planted them on a hope and a prayer that I would not kill them.
We have tomatoes, yellow squash, zuccini, red bell peppers, green bell peppers, green onions, cilantro, flat-leaf parsley, cucumbers (regular & Armenian), Anaheim Chili's, Serano Chili's, Jalapeno's & watermelon. So far we have harvested the green onions - delish and our first zuccini!

Elder Alexander Alviso

Well, the day we have been waiting for since the birth of our oldest son has finally come. He has been called to serve a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He will be serving in the El Salvador, San Salvador - East Mission. He reports to the Missionary Training Center on July 28, 2010. We are so very proud of the fine young man he has become and the great choices he is making in his life. I know he will be an amazing missionary and serve his Heavenly Father with everything he has. He is very excited to be going to Central America and to be able to learn the Spanish language.
